The role of the Business Development Executives (BDEs) is to maximise availability, visibility and ROS within targeted On Trade customers for Pernod Ricard strategic brands within the Southampton/ M3 territory.
The BDE role is home based, with responsibility for customers within a defined geographical area, therefore it is required that you live within the territory to understand the local environment and culture. As a BDE you would be responsible within your designated territory for distribution, visibility, brand awareness and staff education.
The UK on trade wines and spirits market is a well developed, competitive environment with a number of large competitors selling to well developed on trade segments. The on trade is a complex channel with a number of sub channels (National wholesaler, multiple pub operators, independent bars, regional brewers). The channel is an important contributor to the profit of PR in the UK but it also plays a vital role in building the equity of our brands with consumers.
As a field based representative of the Company, it is expected that you operate in a transparent manner and demonstrate integrity in all interactions.
To be successful in this role you should be of graduate calibre, a superb communicator with the ability to build and maintain strong business relationships and be able to demonstrate commercial acumen and entrepreneurial flair. You also need to be analytical, numerate, IT and social media literate and well organised.
Experience in Wines and Spirits or FMCG would be an advantage.
