About the Role
International Supply Centre Malt Distilling has responsibility for production of c.100 mla of Malt Whisky, and associated barley requirements, co-products and warehouse operations.
Stretching service, cost, quality (e.g. spirit character differentiation) requirements demand that all assets operate at optimal performance.
The jobholder will be part of an integrated process support function. This will require the ability to operate in both functional and cross-functional teams and will support a number of sites with process optimisation.
Purpose of the Role
The successful candidate will provide technical expertise and advice to optimise and continuously improve spirit character KPI's and also maximise efficient operations across all sites.
You will also be the point of contact for action relating to improving production efficiencies, cost and service, whilst maintaining product quality at all sites.
The role holder will identify innovative techniques and new technologies for delivering continuous improvement, whilst ensuring that MFV principles are adhered to. As part of this you will deliver technical projects aimed at achieving ongoing improvement in terms of quality control, yield, energy, efficiency and production capacity. 
We all learn every day and part of your role will be to ensure that the level of technical knowledge in-house is maintained at a level that will facilitate technical development of key process personnel.
it is essential that you work closely with the other Process Support specialists to ensure alignment and consistency of approach and manage all departmental processes to ensure that outcomes comply with an integrated quality assurance system.
A key part to the role is supporting production teams by supplying expert level knowledge in investigating any deviation outwith normal expectations for key process parameters, e.g. process efficiency, spirit character.  Agree the most appropriate deployment of resources to deliver project programmes aimed at improving process efficiency, energy usage, and production potential and quality.
The ideal candidate
- A degree, or equivalent, in relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5 years experience in production
or a central support technical role.
- Proven track record in delivering technical
support and advice. 
- Experienced in leading and delivering projects within a functional team.
- Experienced in working in a partnership I service orientated environment.
