This is a business critical position for one of the Top 3 Diageo Global Beer geographies. Based in Manhattan, the Associate Brand Manager will be responsible for developing and executing brand plans to drive share and NSV growth, develop growth drivers for all trademarks, build brand strength and deepen consumer connections. The Diageo Beer Company is seeking an insightful brand marketer with marketing functional excellence who will be responsible for helping to develop and deliver the brand strategy through marketing plans and product launches that deliver annual operating plans & share growth for the Guinness and beer portfolio which includes Guinness, Guinness innovations, Harp and Smithwick's. The ABM we seek is someone who has a challenger mindset, is comfortable breaking corporate & consumer norms, and to prove the unproven to win. A leader able to engage others around their ideas and inspire their agencies and other stakeholders to dream big and execute even bigger. Key Responsibilities

-
Briefing & execution of key brand initiatives and platforms including BTL and digital/social.

Responsible for coordinating Renovation process with renovation manager.

Responsible for supporting brand team in the development of POS & selling materials, communication, collaboration, and achieving buy-in with External Partners, Customer Marketing and Sales teams.

Lead for delivering best in class performance reporting that drives to clear and actionable insights to drive monthly performance reviews with senior stakeholders that will unlock opportunities for brand growth.

Lead the annual brand budgeting process and its maintenance. This ranges from identifying critical consumer and commercial issues and ways forward, working with our consumer planning and research team to measure and evaluate previous years' activities and working with Diageo procurement and our agency partners to ensure complaint and timely billing.

Responsible for M&E on key activities and working with Consumer Planning/finance.

Collaborate closely with key members of GBT & cross functional internal teams.

Lead beer influencer strategy with agency and key partners.

Collaborate and support the other members of the brand team and regional marketing team on execution of platforms.

Experience
 

-
1-3 years marketing experience in consumer marketing and undergraduate degree required


-
Knowledge of the US Malt & Alcohol industry and the competitive dynamics


-
MBA and/or agency background and/or CPG or Beverage Alcohol experience preferred

Strong leadership, problem solving, stakeholder engagement and decision-making skills.

Ability to demonstrate consumer insight, creativity and flair to generate ideas and plans to step-change brand growth

Ability to inspire and motivate agency and internal partners. Strong relationship skills

Ability to analyze data and specific market information while recommending business action steps

Excellent multi-tasker who holds themselves to a world class standard of output and demonstrates a relentless desire to deliver the best performing marketing programs

Prior experience of working cross-functionally with multiple functions building strong working relationships

Experience managing agencies

Facility with social media and digital marketing

Excellent written and oral communication skills
