The Role

Reporting into the solutions architect the data scientist will help Heineken in the UK drive towards its commercial ambitions by leveraging its unique data assets through the exploration and exploitation of its data to help build Britain's best pub company, extend our leadership in cider, accelerate premium beer growth and maximise mainstream beer profits.

Your main responsibilities will be to conduct data discovery, exploration and partner with different business areas to identify key questions that can be answered with data and advanced analytics, leveraging unstructured, noisy and big data where appropriate.

You will formulate the analytical approach and data acquisition strategy to answer the questions identified and go through all phases and iterations required to deliver analytical solutions, from data exploration, cleansing, feature engineering, building models, creating compelling visualisations and data tools making sure the solution answers a relevant business problem.

In addition you will present results to business areas and iterate in short cycles, Identify new datasets to be captured, spearhead innovation in the application of data and analytics to asset management, participate in learning and training initiatives for the wider analytics teams, actively contribute to and support the development of an analytics community and evangelise the role of advanced analytics

We are recruiting for a recent graduate who is degree educated with a masters or a PHD with a computing and strong statistical / mathematical background with 6 months to 1 years commercial experience.
