Engineering Shift Technician

Function: Brewing Operations
Location: Manchester
Salary: £34,600 plus £8,122 shift allowance (£42,722)

WHY FIT IN, WHEN YOU CAN STAND OUT?

We're proud to be the UK's leading, pub, cider and beer company. With over 2,000 colleagues employed across the UK, we offer fantastic opportunities for people with talent and drive. From brewing to sales and marketing, from logistics to finance, IT and HR - there's much more to our business than you might imagine.

Our unrivalled portfolio of brands includes Foster's, Strongbow, John Smith's, Bulmers, Desperados and of course the world-renowned Heineken® and, with 3000 pubs, we are one of the UK's leading leased pub businesses and a passionate supporter of the great British pub.

We've ambitious goals. And we know it's the expertise and enthusiasm of our people that fuels our growth. Right now we're looking for an outstanding Qualified Technician to join our team.

The Role

There has never been a more exciting time to join our site in Manchester. We are firmly planted in the community thanks to a number of investments in the site over the past few years, totalling more than £70 Million. Our brewery remains a pivotal part of our UK supply chain network, producing around 5 million hectolitres per year of Foster's, Kronenbourg 1664 - and, more recently - Heineken. We're delighted to have been given the quality seal of approval from Amsterdam to brew Heineken on our site - and as a bonus we're making our carbon footprint smaller in the process.

If you have a positive outlook with a continuous improvement mind-set, and solid experience of modern planned maintenance techniques and CMM systems, then we want to hear from you.

With your relevant HNC or higher qualifications, an electrical bias and previous control / instrumentation experience within a highly automated and safety critical manufacturing site, we are hoping that you will come in and hit the ground running - although we will develop you with our TPM methodology being our fundamental way of working. Your can-do attitude and enthusiasm will be warmly welcomed and your problem solving skills will be put to good use.

Your confidence and ability to work autonomously, and with colleagues, will help build an awesome team culture and working environment based on trust, accountability and respect - one that you'll really enjoy being part of!

PRIDE IN WHO WE ARE, PASSION FOR WHAT WE DO

Next Steps

Apply today with your most up to date CV and a Covering Letter. At HEINEKEN UK we are passionate about Great British Pubs, so instead of a traditional covering letter talking about you, feel free to simply tell us which pub, bar or restaurant is your favourite (it doesn't have to be one of ours) and the reasons why.

If you'd like to stand out, rather than fit in, we'd love to hear from you.
