Ketel One Family Made Vodka, one of Diageo North America's top five trademarks by value, is a brand with extraordinary performance momentum on the heels of a strategic reposition and breakthrough innovation launch in F18. Crafted with care in Schiedam, Holland, by the Nolet family with 327 years of distilling expertise behind them, Ketel One has become one of the world's most revered vodkas, a status icon and a bartender favorite.
We're seeking a brand manager to help lead Ketel One to further ascendancy (mid-single-digit growth in F19). This position is primarily accountable for strategic planning and annual MBP leadership, development and implementation of our on-premise / trade agenda and overseeing the evolution of our experiential platform (Ketel Market). This person will play a key role within the organization to drive focus and passion around the brand strategy with key commercial partners.
This role offers breadth, a high degree of autonomy / responsibility and exposure to senior leadership. It provides the opportunity to spearhead development of brand strategy with ownership of key agency relationships to drive execution across disciplines.

Ideally, we are seeking functional experience within the on-premise and with bartenders. They are a strong instinctive marketer - a thought leader who sees possibility and can articulate it with clarity and passion, such that it inspires followership and enrollment from others. They may already have a good relationship footprint within Diageo and will be someone who effortlessly builds great relationships at all levels.
Key Outputs / Deliverables
§ Deliver performance targets for Ketel One
§ Lead F20 MBP (annual planning) process, investment plan and all key MBP deliverables
- Lead expansion / evolution and execution of national experiential program (Ketel Market)
- Lead execution of key on-premise drivers inclusive of new drinks platform, bartender events and ambassadors
- Develop and execute educational distillery experiences for trade audiences
§ Lead intra-agency and cross-functional communications to ensure clarity, alignment and collaboration
§ Undergraduate degree required, MBA preferred
§ 5+ years' brand marketing experience with proven track record of creating / implementing successful strategies
§ Innovation and commercial experience beneficial but not required
§ Consumer package goods experience preferred, three-tiered industries or alcohol beverage experience a plus
§ US experience preferred
§ Highly-skilled relationship builder and influencer
- Ability to demonstrate consumer insight, creativity and flair
§ Ability to maintain positive outlook amidst challenges and effectively problem-solve and make decisions
§ Ability to enroll and motivate a large, complex commercial organization
§ Ability to manage multiple projects effectively, prioritize and drive to action
