The Regional Shopper Marketing Manager leads the creative deployment of shopper marketing programs that will drive trips, conversion and baskets across several regional customers. This role works in collaboration with Diageo Divisions and Distributors to identify activation opportunities across a given  market place  customer base, builds relationships  at  the target customers and executes agreed to programs.  The desired outcome of this role is to create a competitive advantage for Diageo by delivering innovative shopper solutions that grow our business, and the retailers business, organically.

- Manage end to end program development and associated A&P budgets

- Proven ability to develop innovative conversion driving marketing programs

- Ability to juggle numerous projects at one time with excellent project management skills

- Strong understanding of all aspects of shopper marketing and digital marketing

- Must have the ability to convert insights into executable shopper programs

 
Leadership Responsibilities and Decision Making Rights
- Must be able to build relationships and influence decision making internally and at our key customers

- Must be able to "stand in the future" and develop a vision for how a prospective customer  can grow their/Diageo's business

- Strong ability to manage multiple agencies and make informed decisions about what the value maximizing strategy is for a given situation - many times, on the spot at a customer

 
Top 3-5 Accountabilities
- Team to "spin" assets into regional trip, conversion and basket driving programs Develops and executes shopper marketing programs with hyper focus on local optimization

- Creates/maintains pool of regional shopper marketing agencies and establishes/tracks key performance metrics

- Works with national shopper marketing

- Works with Division, Distributor, Cat Dev and Insights teams to develop the marketing activation calendar by retailer executes all programs accordingly

 
Qualifications and Experience Required              
College graduate with 7-10  years  relevant experience that should include:
- Proven success in developing, and executing,  shopper marketing programs with small and large customers

- Extensive familiarity with the Kroger and Meijer chains

- Strong agency management experience and proven ability to deliver world class outputs

- Sales/marketing experience with major CPG companies and/or agency experience a plus

- Strong presentation and communication skills

- Track record of success in:


- Regional/local marketing

- Influencer marketing

- Traffic driving in digital space

- Building retailer relationships and influencing decision makers
