About the role

Continuously increase Supply Chain performance through improving processes, efficiencencies, systems and service. Lead improvement activities, projects and workshops, desigining/redesigning as necessary, implementing changes and monitoring effectiveness. Always ensuring clear communications with cross-functional stakeholders and tracking agreed actions. Focus on end to end business process capability utlising change/project management skills and providing business analysis and data to enable the right business decisions.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing assigned projects, KPI's, continuous improvement activities and data analytics within Supply Chain execution function on site at London Road.

- Identify and agree priorities for improvement, project generation and associated KPI's across customer fulfillment, planning, materials, inventory, warehousing and logistics.
- Function as a change agent and continuously challenge the way processes are carried out to drive effectiveness and efficiency.
- Manage the desired change successfully against specific targets and escalate any roadblocks effecting timeline or solution for improvements, through to successful completion
- Part of this role is also to deliver key data for supply chain management and teams, with data being timely and accurate. Enabling decision making and determining effectiveness of solutions or alternatives.

- Part of this role is also to deliver key data for supply chain management and teams, with data being timely and accurate. Enabling decision making and determining effectiveness of solutions or alternatives.
- On specific projects/improvement activities lead the defined prioritised process improvement initiatives, which may include: organise kick-off meetings, clarify roles and responsibilities within a project team, build and align the project plan and timeline with the team, coordinate CI meetings, execute workshops, issue actions and trackers and follow up with individual team members.
- Ensure that the team is engaged and have discipline in following up actions and driving accountability. Carry out and document regular risk assessments with team members and identify resistance to change and address with stakeholders/team.
- Prepare summaries and tracker for Project/Continuous Improvement Reviews.
- Ensure a positive and effective working relationship across functions (locally and globally), identifying key resources and managing senior internal and external stakeholders to ensure objectives are delivered.
- Having a strong background in Logistics, Warehousing, Planning, Supply and Project Management Processes giving value add with content knowledge.
- Facilitate/coordinate any Pilot activities as part of readiness for changes within the function.
- Lead weekly/monthly Supply Chain KPI inputs and reviews, including preparation of any management summaries for goverance areas such as inventory and reporting on CI actions within.
- Coach other team members in best practice continuous improvement, project planning, tools and techniques.
- Update any documentation such as Standard Operating Proceedures ensuring closed loop on changes being implemented.

- Report any unsafe or environmentally unsound acts and conditions to their immediate Supervisor such that remedial action can be taken to manage the risk
- Ensure effective team work internally and externally to drive communications at the right time for accurate decision making and task identification.

- Delivery of continuous improvement effectiveness, efficiency and metrics
- Prioritisation of inititaves and management reviews.
- Cooperation and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Champion change and removing resistance.
- Robust CI improvement process and training in function.
- Data collection and anlaysis to enable right decision at right time for function.

Critical experiences for success

Work Experience Requirements:

- 5 years + Experience of working within manufacturing, with track record of successfully implementing several continuous improvement programs, either departmental or wider.
- 5 years + Extensive Supply Chain knowledge across planning, logistics, warehouse and supply.
- Strong background in problem solving, planning and organisation, with expert project and change management skills.
- Self managing with ability to manage and co-ordinate multiple tasks, projects and priorities.
- Strong analytical skills to determine risks and course of action required
- Excellent communication skills including senior level presentation preparation.
- Highly active working knowledge of JIT/SMI/MOQ/ERP/5S etc and supply chain latest trends.
- Highly competent in Excel (advanced macros, pivot tables, look-ups etc.)
- Working knowledge and understanding of the Lean/Six Sigma methodology for continuous process improvement.
- Ability to influence across departments and various levels of leadership.
- SAP knowledge particularly Supply Chain
- Expert knowledge of MS Office and Project
- Excellent analytical/data skills (SAP, BI and APO)

Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Supply Chain or similar
- Lean/Six Sigma/Project Management trained.
- Ability to understand and perform qualitative data analysis.
