BrewDog are on the hunt for a Duty Manager for BrewDog Union Square!!
We at BrewDog have one mission. We want to make other people as passionate about great craft beer as we are. Our bars are at the forefront of that mission, delivering amazing beer & customer service at all times. We're opening a site in the beating heart of Aberdeen, Union Square, to allow us to reach more people with epic beer from all over the world. Also creating a sensational food offering, to pair perfectly with that beer.
About The Role
As the doors swing open to this site your role as Duty Manager will be to ensure every single person who walks through the bars' doors gets an absolutely mind-blowing customer experience. You will assist & support the General Manager and Assistant Managers in the running of shifts. A big part of this role will be the training & guiding our amazing staff to be amazinger(yes, we did just make up a word). You'll get the opportunity to be involved with various back of house duties, as well as front of house duties.
About The Team
Our Union Square site will be a first for us, it'll be a site that give us access to beer drinkers who may not otherwise try our beer. You'll be led by a hyper experienced General Manager alongside a team of roughly 30 passionate & confident individuals. Made up of team in the kitchen, on the floor & behind the bar.
You'll have at least one years' experience in a management role in hospitality. As this will be a pretty big site, an Assistant Manager in a smaller site may come in at Duty Manager here. But don't let that put you off, as it'll open you up to develop at lightning speed & learn from amazing people.
Knowledge of craft beer for this role would be desirable, but a willingness to learn if you don't is essential. We've got all of the tools (and the beer), you just need to be excited to learn. You also must be customer service focused, making sure every single experience a customer has at BrewDog Union Square rocks, a less than favourable yelp review should hurt as much as stubbing your toe or getting vinegar in your eye.
