Reliability Engineering Technician- Day Shift - Packaging

Function: Brewing Operations
Location: Manchester
Salary: £34,601 + award-winning double matched pension

Why Join HEINEKEN?

There has never been a more exciting time to join our Manchester Brewery. We are firmly planted in the community thanks to a number of investments in the site over the past few years, totalling more than £70 Million. Our brewery remains a pivotal part of our UK supply chain network, producing around five million hectolitres per year of Foster's, Kronenbourg 1664 - and, more recently - Heineken®. We're delighted to have been given the quality seal of approval from our Amsterdam Head Office to brew Heineken on our site - and as a bonus, we're making our carbon footprint smaller in the process.

What's the role?

We are looking for a Day Shift Craftsperson to work in our packaging area covering two canning lines (running at approx. 150,000 cans per hour together) and a kegging line (approx. 700 kegs per hour). At a very high level, our day shift craftspeople are responsible for the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within the packaging area. You will reduce machine downtime in a cost-effective manner and eliminate root cause through eradication of failure mode with the application of good problem-solving skills, basing decisions making on data and trend analysis and interpretation at an asset level

What are we looking for?

Firstly, you will need to possess the necessary trade qualifications (NVQ or CITB Apprenticeship and/or an HNC Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) and preferably with an electrical bias (previous control/instrumentation experience would be highly desirable) You will also have worked in similar highly-automated and safety-critical manufacturing site, and we are hoping that you will come in and hit the ground running - although we will develop you with our continuous improvement methodology (we use TPM) being our fundamental way of working.

Your can-do attitude and enthusiasm will be warmly welcomed and your problem-solving skills will be put to good use. If you have a positive outlook with a continuous improvement mindset, and solid experience of modern planned maintenance techniques and Computerised Maintenance Management systems, then we want to hear from you.

Your confidence and ability to work autonomously, and with colleagues, will help build an awesome team culture and working environment based on trust, accountability and respect - one that you'll really enjoy being part of!

What do we offer?

Along with your salary and shift allowance, we offer an award-winning double matched pension (up to 10% from HEINEKEN), a performance bonus (paid twice annually), a free on-site gym, private health insurance, subsidised on-site canteen facilities, a case of our delicious products every month (can be accrued) plus a number of other perks included in your package.

PRIDE IN WHO WE ARE, PASSION FOR WHAT WE DO

Next Steps

Apply today with your CV and a covering letter. In your cover letter, we would like you to do 2 things, firstly we would like you to give an overview of your engineering/background. Secondly, at HEINEKEN we are passionate about Great British Pubs, simply tell us which pub, bar or restaurant is your favourite (it doesn't have to be one of ours) and the reasons why.
