About the role

This is a broad-based role primarily focused on providing Sales, Revenue Growth management (RGM) and Marketing decision support for the GTR Asia Pacfiic and Middle East Commercial and Customer Marketing teams. The role will also lead Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for the regions including key variance analysis to business plan and forecast and is responsible for regional Budget and in year forecast submissions.

From an RGM perspective, you will be accountable for creating value and financial impact for our company. You will help build and develop capabilities to drive sustainable NSV/case growth by creating best in class RGM practices that enables us to Set, Get and Keep price as well as to optimize mix. Your ability to combine a strategic business approach while managing multiple projects at any given time will be key, as will be your comfort in working seamlessly within the matrix, with the Customer Marketing and Commercial teams as well as influencing and coaching a Financial Analyst.

- You will support annual growth in net revenue and gross profit per case through a best in class RGM practice (analysis, strategy and programs) that is fully embedded in the IAP process

- You will help build and embed the regional capability of Pricing Strategy (Set, Get and Keep price) and Trade and Promotional Investment Optimization driving value growth across the region

- You will apply the frameworks, tools and guidelines to drive greater effectiveness and ROI of commercial investments and promotional spending

This role will also lead FP&A in the region incorporating reporting and planning, acting as the right hand to the Regional Director GTR APAC and Regional Manager MEA. A key part of the role is partnering with the demand planner and sales managers to create robust Sales & Operational (S&OP) forecasts and commercial plans to assess risk and opportunity to budget and latest estimates.

The candidate must possess strong communication and collaboration skills and demonstrate the ability to work independently and cross-functionally at many levels within Bacardi. The candidate must also be comfortable working internationally with colleagues across Asia and Global Travel Retail. Advanced MS Excel and system tools skills required.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

Drive results & excellence in execution

Sales Decision Support/RGM

- Provide first class decision support to the GTR APAC and MEA Commercial teams

o Bottom up creation of commercial plans in conjunction with Sales managers

o Challenge and partner with team making sure sound financial insight at heart of every decision

o Set up and provide customer level reporting down to DBC, reviewing with team and actioning insights

o Strong focus on use of depletion and market share data to drive growth opportunities and mitigate risks

- Annual pricing negotiation support

o Maximize price realization business partnering with Commercial during price negotiations

o Act as a valued partner in discussions, proactively challenging teams where necessary

o Maintain database of price increases and exceptions to Global Minimums

o Work closely with Global RGM, driving best practice across the region

- Price promotional planning

o Own and manage promo tracker

? Making sure 100% of price promotions are captured at beginning of year

? Actuals updated and post promo reviews performed for key activity

o Support team to drive efficient allocation of promo spend across region

- Mix

o Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support delivery of premium mix targets

- Trade Terms

o Know and communicate the GTR Trading Terms framework

o Monitor adherence to terms in conjunction with Global RGM

o Ensure counterparts and conditionality embedded into Global Framework Agreements

Marketing Decision Support

- Work closely with Customer Marketing and Commercial to monitor and manage A&P spend in the region

- Flag exceptions to agreed budget and attend global calls to reallocate spend

- Enable Customer Marketing to have accountability for brand financials

- Support and input into development and roll out of Global GTR M&E and ROI tools

- Analyze A&P spend effectiveness and actively seek to reallocate resources to more efficient activity

- Complete local ROI analysis to support efficient use of A&P spend

- Provide Customer Account profitability analytics to influence investment decisions


- Managing and delivering the P&L from Net Sales to EFO for APAC & MEA GTR regions

- Analyzing and providing commentary on monthly performance

o Creating appropriate reporting required to sufficiently analyze the business across key metrics

o Setting plans in place to mitigate risks and accelerate opportunities

o Financial leadership of Monthly Performance Review process along with the Regional Director APAC & Regional Manager MEA

- Leading the Budgeting and Latest Estimate process for GTR APAC & MEA

o Taking top down plans from Global GTR and allocating through the region

o Creating the plan in conjunction with the Regional Director and Commercial teams

o Submitting the plan and checking accuracy in TM1

- Partner with S&OP Planner and Commercial team to embed robust S&OP process in the region to drive efficient planning with increased levels of accuracy

- Leveraging the Bacardi Finance network to create synergies between GTR Finance, domestic teams and GBS

- Continually seek to streamline processes and simplify to enable focus on commercial finance support

Develop talent and capability

- Responsible for the coaching and development of Finance Analyst APAC and Finance Analyst MEA

- Drive best in class decision support and RGM capabilities across the region

Create a winning team

- Set an inspiring vision and align the team behind challenging targets while creating a passion for winning

- Forge strong working relationships with GBS and domestic Finance, seeking to streamline processes

- Work closely with wider GTR Finance teams around the world to share best practice and support one team mentality

Measures of success

- Performance: Achieve Total Net Sales Value (NSV) and Gross Profit growth targets vs. budget; NSV and GP per case target ahead of plan; Achieve % of portfolio premium targets; Deliver EFO target

- Value share: Deliver target value share growth

- Customer: Deliver Customer Profitability targets

- Employee Engagement: Achieve sustained improvement in engagement and enablement

- Talent: Deliver against talent management objectives

Critical experiences for success

To be successful in this role you will have/be:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or related field;

- 5+ years' experience in RGM and Commercial Finance roles with proven track record for delivering results

- Responsibility for P&L management and financial control

- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

- Commercial skills gained through hands on Commercial roles

- Experience in roles related to understanding customer and channel dynamics

- Experience in strategy roles in an international environment in FMCG

- Strong management skills gained through hands on line management experience

- Fluent written and spoken English

The following experiences are preferred:

- Experience in the Spirits and/or overall beverage Industry is a distinct advantage

- Accounting qualification (CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)


- Ability to work effectively and achieve results in a matrix organization

- Process focused with an understanding of end to end business processes and their financial impacts

- Ability to identify root cause issues and develop plans to resolve

- Skilled at organizing and prioritizing multiple projects and resource constraints to optimize results

- Ability to communicate effectively
