Why Join HEINEKEN?
Embedding HEINEKEN Herefordshire as the Global Home of Cider is a challenge we all embrace. Our historic Herefordshire heartland is home to the world's largest Cider production site, our cider mill at Ledbury and more than 10,000 acres of orchards. We also partner with local growers as we use 30% of all apples grown in the UK to make our celebrated cider brands. From Strongbow and Bulmers to Old Mout and Blind Pig, a spirit of innovation inspires our craft - and with a string of new styles and flavours to enjoy including the artisanal Bulmers Orchard Pioneers range, our future is one you'll want to be part of.
What's the role?
Using your experience to best practise techniques for asset care, you'll support the Site Engineering Manager in leading the development and implementation of maintenance strategies, securing commitment from your team of technicians to deliver enhanced asset reliability. You'll need to be a skilled organiser as you will have to prioritise and manage all engineering staff (direct, indirect & contract) in the delivery of maintenance services to the Hereford site, with full utilisation of the site CMMS and making sure that the team deliver on the weekly maintenance schedule. Being accountable for your repairs and maintenance budget, you will manage and focus spend appropriately.
At the heart of what you'll deliver is compliance to all relevant safety and statutory requirements, with all of your achievements being clearly visible by improvements in KPI's (we use TPM methodology for our continuous improvement pillars). But, above all, it will be your people management that will make you stand out to us. We need you to coach, develop and motivate your team to meet performance targets and comply with HEINEKEN's very high standards. The focus you place on developing your team will allow you to realise their potential, thus achieving optimum asset reliability, and of course, you'll always Put Safety First.
What are we looking for?
A qualified electrical, mechanical or chemical engineer, you'll be comfortable using structured maintenance development techniques and experience of process and high-speed packaging equipment to deliver outstanding levels of reliability at optimum cost. Ideally, you'll have IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications already but we can put you through the training if not.
Your can-do attitude and enthusiasm will be warmly welcomed and your problem-solving skills will be put to good use. If you have a positive outlook with a continuous improvement mindset, and solid experience of modern planned maintenance techniques and CMMS, then we want to hear from you.
What do we offer?
Along with your salary, we offer an award-winning double matched pension (up to 10% from HEINEKEN), an annual performance bonus, private health insurance, subsidised on-site gym and canteen facilities, a case of our delicious products every month (can be accrued) plus a number of other perks included in your package.
PRIDE IN WHO WE ARE, PASSION FOR WHAT WE DO
Apply today with your CV and a covering letter. In your cover letter we would like you to do 2 things, 1) we would like you to give an overview of your engineering/background. And 2) At HEINEKEN we are passionate about Great British Pubs, simply tell us which pub, bar or restaurant is your favourite (it doesn't have to be one of ours) and the reasons why.
