Project Development Manager - London & Home Counties (Watford, Luton, North & West London)
HEINEKEN STAR PUBS & BARS
Location: Field Based
Salary: £50k - £58k (London weighting) depending on experience, with bonus up to 20%
BUILDING BRITAIN'S BEST PUB COMPANY
HEINEKEN are passionate supporters of the Great British Pub and since 2012 have invested more than £100m in our Star Pubs & Bars estate, to create memorable consumer experiences. We seek the best and most innovative people to work together with great licensees to create successful pubs at the heart of their communities. And there's more of that to come! We added 1,900 pubs to our Star Pubs & Bars estate earlier this year and have already been investing millions of pounds into an ambitious investment plan for the next few years - as we aim to build Britain's best pub company.
We're looking for looking for a dynamic Property Project Development Manager to implement a massive pub investment programme in the London & North Home Counties area of our newly enlarged estate of 3000 pubs. With great people skills, design flair and a passion for the great British pub you will help us to create many more memorable consumer experiences.
This is a fantastic role, where you'll have responsibility for implementing market leading Capex refurbishments, looking after the major repairs of the pubs in your region and working with the virtual team to ensure that our lessees have a safe environment to operate in, whilst also making sure that the pubs are legally and contractually compliant.
Reporting to the Regional Property Controller and ideally with a RICS, CIOB or similar buildings qualification, your experience in complex property project refurbishment will help you be effective as a key member of our regional team. You will have an open and collaborative nature given the wide range of stakeholders you will be working with, great communication skills and a love of pubs (because you're going to be inside a lot of them)!
We will expect a lot from you, but we think you're the kind of person who will expect a lot from yourself - of course we need to make it worth your while! On top of your base and bonus we offer flexible working hours, Bupa for you, 35 days annual holiday, double matched pension up to 10% and that monthly case of our delicious ciders and beers so you can stock up your fridge or save up for those great social occasions.
If this sounds like a journey you'd like to join, we'd love to hear from you.
This role is going to be a challenge, so instead of a generic covering letter, please briefly describe a challenging twist thrown up by a stakeholder or an issue that you've discovered or encountered during a large refurbishment project?
This will be a great start to a conversation and we can share ours at the interview stage!
