ABOUT THE ROLE

Scotland is the home of Diageo's diverse range of Scotch whiskies. In Scotland, ISC Distilling is responsible for producing over 30 million cases of Diageo's Scotch whiskies such as Johnnie Walker, J&B and Bell's every year. As well as Scotch, ISC Distilling produces 12 million cases of white spirits including Smirnoff vodka, Tanqueray gin and Gordon's gin and over four million cases of other spirits and ready to drink brands. With the growth trajectory for Scotch looking strong, Diageo has announced plans to invest over £1billion in Scotch whisky production over the next five years to meet growing global demand for our brands. The investment will see a major new malt distillery built expansion of existing distilleries and substantial new warehousing capacity will be developed. There are eight main warehousing sites, housing our maturing stocks of Scotch whisky, supported by a state of the art cooperage opened in 2011 and coppersmiths

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of the Burghead Engineering Centre team you'll be responsible for the maintenance, repair and improvement of all mechanical assets. This is an integral part of the team that will ensure the site and team achieves their KPIs and targets. The role will at times involve solo working, so it is important you can use your problem solving skills to make decisions in a timely manner.

You'll be working as part of the team across 3 sites to ensure that the sites machinery, H&S, quality and production is running smoothly. Health and Safety will be your key focus, ensuring the plant is running to adhere to H&S and risk management legislation's. You'll manage a number of internal and external stakeholders to maintain these standards throughout, so communication skills are vital. This is in order to maintain a safe and organised workplace for your team.

We at Diageo are passionate about looking towards the future. You'll be running continuous improvement planned maintenance and identifying ways of working that benefit the site, team and company as a whole.

The role is Monday to Friday with a requirement to be on call 1 in every 6 weeks Monday-Sunday.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

We are looking for someone who can work well within a team and have the ability to work solo. This will involve problem solving tasks and the confidence to make decisions on the spot.
