The Finance Transformation team in Diageo has been created to pool together key resources to drive all aspects of the transformation agenda in a more efficient and effective way, ensuring consistency of approach and excellence in delivery. The Finance Transformation programme encompasses a number of key initiatives to support delivery of the five key elements of the finance performance ambition:

BPM & ANALYTICS

We drive business performance and value creation through our BPM processes and analytic tools, ensuring that everyone has access to the information they need, when they need it, to deliver business insights and support fast and effective decision making.

EFFICIENT PLANNING

We deliver executional excellence through fully standardised, simplified and faster planning processes. These processes are both highly automated end to end and fully leverage the global shared service model. We apply a 'Simpler, Smarter, Stronger' mind set to everything we do.

CAPABILITIES

We deliver breakthrough performance by ensuring we have the right people and capabilities in place. We are a diverse, inclusive, connected and engaged team with world class functional capabilities and commercial acumen. Our insights are proactively sought by our business partners.

PRICE / MIX

We deliver year on year improvements in price / mix through our understanding of customer profitability (both theirs and ours), and our execution of headline pricing, promotional effectiveness and trade investment.

WORKING CAPITAL

We deliver improved Average Working Capital (AWC), through collaboration with our business partners and our deep understanding of the drivers of free cash flow and strong cash conversion.

Responsibilities:

Purpose of Role

To drive and embed the European Finance Transformation programme with personal ownership of the Ireland business in line with the agreed F19 plans including:

- Integrated Business Planning

- BPM, Commercial Insights and Analytics

Top 3-5 Accountabilities

- Providing both strategic and technical input into the overall Europe agenda ensuring local business requirements are captured and delivered through end solutions


- Perform a pivotal role in designing and developing those systems and processes to ensure that we deliver the best possible solution deployable across the entire European business.


- Act as a local ambassador for change and lead local engagement by delivering or facilitating training, communications and engagement required to deploy new systems and processes across all levels of the business.

Qualifications and Experience Required

- Thorough understanding of financial planning & analysis process, data & information

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, customer focused attitude, able to act as a role model

- Experience working with a virtual team and proven ability to impact and influence virtually across markets. Self-supportive approach and ownership in issue resolution

- Strong process design and improvement, project management and co-ordination skills, with experience of managing conflicting priorities

- Ability to manage expectations and manage upwards when necessary

- Functional knowledge of various Diageo reporting systems and BI analytical tools (Technical knowledge is an advantage)

- Positive, people oriented and energetic attitude

- Ability to articulate business requirements and processes to technical teams and non-technical audience
