Purpose of the role
We are building a world Class International Supply Chain planning organisation which is based on standardised processes and ways of working. In order to do this, we're looking to implement best practice in our planning approach, to optimise out Supply Chain leadership and to create a single reporting structure. The Market Planning team play a pivotal role in this as they work with 21 of our key markets in supply chain planning, logistics and inventory management to name a few.
About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to learn the skills and knowledge to secure a Market Planner position within our organisation. They will be supported to build capability around supply chain planning, customer service, logistics & distribution, inventory optimisation and customs & excise.
In a role that will encompass both formal training and on the job learning, this individual will support market replenishment plans to ensure in market customer service and inventory provision is fully delivered. They will also cooperate with a range of stakeholders both internal and external to Diageo whilst being responsive in their approach. They will also work on our supply production plans, despatch requirements and replenishment exceptions.
To be considered for this role, you will be/have;
- Ideally a graduate or equivalent working experience
- Preferably, some experience in order processing, account management or planning in a supply chain environment.
- Comfort in using Excel and Power Point
- Proven analytical skills
- Real interpersonal skills with comfort in networking and influencing others
