About the role

As HR Business Partner, Corporate Functions, you will play a key role in supporting the Corporate Functions Brands and all the associated teams and locations. Corporate Functions include Finance, Marketing, IT, Legal, Tax, Business Development, Communications, Facilities and HR.

In this position, you will be:

- Leading HR for all in scope teams, functions and locations

- Setting the HR priorities and strategy for Corporate Functions

- Driving the execution of the People Agenda for Corporate Functions

- Acting as a first point of contact to the Corporate Function leadership teams for all HR related matters

- Leading key HR initiatives and change programs

- Ensuring top talent in all key roles

- Ensuring high quality application of HR services, policies and programs

- The need for travel will come up from time to time (20% or less)

- Corporate Functions includes approximately 200 employees across all levels of our global job architecture structure and across numerous locations and countries

- The role is also required to play a significant leadership role within extended HR networks both regionally and globally and to ensure that the functional and market HR agendas are closely aligned.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

Business Partnering

- Be the HR leader and business partner for Corporate Functions

- Provide coaching and counseling in the areas of employee relations, policy interpretation and review, staffing, compensation & benefits, conflict resolution, performance management, talent development and succession planning

Organizational Capability

- Support design and ensure implementation of organizational changes aligned with Role Model Organizations and talent strategy

- Drive Building Capabilities programs for the location(s) in line with Global people strategy and plans

People Practices and Systems

- Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures in terms of conduct, mobility, compensation & benefits, internal & external recruitment, on-boarding, development, training, etc.

- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations to reduce risks and ensure regulatory compliance. Partner with legal department as needed/required

- Maintain HR systems (Primarily WorkDay), ensure data is kept up to date and correct and provide relevant analysis and reports as required

Talent Development and Acquisition

- Support implementation of Global talent strategy

- Conduct and Lead the annual Talent Review process and ensure succession pipeline for critical roles

- Support line managers in creation and implementation of development plans for identified population (e.g. top and rising talent)

- Drive Senior Leader Accountability for Development along with greater awareness and usage of existing talent products (Leadership Insights, Harvard Portal, Step Up, TXP...)

- Coach and educate managers on the talent development methodology and development products available

- Recruit and integrate high quality candidates according to business needs, lead-time and recruitment cost targets

- Support and deliver functional and leadership training as needed

- Partner with leadership teams to ensure succession pipeline for critical roles

- Drive Global Reflections strategies and plans

Employee Relationships & Engagement

- Build a deep understanding of the key motivators of all employees and ensure that an enabling environment exists to maximize individual performance

- Monitor employee engagement level, support implementation of action plans to drive engagement

- Ensure timely and effective reporting and communication of progress as required

- Manage and resolve employee relations issues

- Build understanding of and commitment to "Values Based Performance"

Measures of success

Delivery of agreed key performance indicators e.g.

- HR Budget

- Becoming Bacardi satisfaction survey

- % internal hires

- Global Reflections targets

- Priority positions filled within 90 days

- Succession plans

- Workday data accuracy

Critical experiences for success

You will have a strong background in HR along with a track record of successful building and maintaining of stakeholder relationships. You are able to manage upwards with key stakeholders to do the right thing for the Company, its employees and its values. You will have experience of dealing with all levels of an organization from hourly employees to senior managers and will be able to switch from dealing with shop floor employee issues one day to strategic people planning with executives the next. You will need to mange and balance a matrix environment where different functions and teams could be competing for your time and attention. You will have strong credibility and knowledge in all aspects of HR and associated laws and policies.

- 5-7+ years HR experience, preferably with experience supporting large teams and senior leaders

- Ability, through your HR experience, to gain instant credibility with executives and senior management

- Solid knowledge on Talent Management and Coaching for Middle and Senior Management levels

- University Degree

- Strong understanding of US Labor Laws, and knowledge / awareness of other country labor laws in the context of global projects (UK/Bermuda)


- High energy level / ability to motivate and support HR programs across the business

- Strong knowledge of developing HR programs is required, with clear value added focus and deliverables and links to anticipated business benefits

- Excellent understanding of employee law principles and their application in a dynamic business context

- Resourcefulness, solution orientation and growth mindset

- Strong drive for results with positive, transparent and ethical leadership style

- A self-starter, who works well with autonomy

- Ability to prioritize and with sound judgement
