Job Title : Senior Credit Controller
Function: Star Pubs & Bars Finance
Salary: up to £35,000 + Bonus + 35 days holiday + Bupa Healthcare + Award-Winning Pension + 5 x Life Assurance, plus additional lifestyle benefit options within The Benefits Bar
WHY FIT IN, WHEN YOU CAN STAND OUT?
"Great Credit Controllers are crucial to our business and we are creating an inclusive team environment where we can play a key part in Building Britain's Best Pub Company."
Our team of 5 Senior Credit Controllers are each aligned to two regional areas of the UK to manage a high-risk portfolio of customers who work in an ongoing partnership with us paying both rent and goods. This is an unusual and challenging credit control role which requires significant prior experience along with negotiation, influencing and rapport building skills and an ability to make decisions quickly.
You will business partner our field operations teams including Regional Ops Directors, Business Development Managers and Estate Managers to provide credit insight and agree on appropriate strategies with higher risk customers and will liaise with Solicitors and Debt Recovery Agents where necessary. The role will involve occasional travel within the UK to meet with regional teams.
You'll be responsible for managing the day to day operations and decision making for your portfolio, including current and ex-customer debt, in line with our credit policy. Building strong relationships with our leased pub operators to ensure payments are made in line with agreements and policy is vital to the success of the role and you will spend a large proportion of your time on the phone talking to your customers.
You will ideally have experience in credit control for an FMCG or property lettings environment, but most important is your ability to hold confident and robust conversations, including discussion of detailed financial data to help negotiate the right decision for the business. CICM experience would be an advantage.
This is a busy, interesting and varied role which is right at the heart of our business. As part of an experienced team, you will receive comprehensive training and regular feedback in monthly 1 to 1s with your manager. Your ideas for process improvement are welcomed and there are opportunities for career development including progression to management roles and achievement of professional qualifications is supported and encouraged.
Building Britain's Best Pub Company
HEINEKEN has a long-held belief that pubs are an integral part of British culture and that well-invested pubs run by skilled operators can prosper and thrive - so last year we added 1,900 pubs to our STAR PUBS & BARS estate making us the third biggest pub company in the UK.
We're still focused on high-quality brands that our consumers love, like Heineken, Amstel, Birra Moretti, Strongbow, Bulmers and Desperados, but now we're also committed to ensuring our Star Pubs & Bars are a success and remain at the heart of our communities.
