Spirits Buyer

To build on the impressive growth in spirits sales within the UK market with a specific focus on sourcing rare whisky and spirits. You will be the ‘go to’ person for spirits in the London office working closely with sales, marketing and the logistics departments or anyone who requires your expertise. The role is directly linked to sales figures so you will be highly driven, and sales minded.

Key responsibilities
• To be responsible for driving sales of rare spirits within the London team
• Manage existing UK supplier relationships and build and develop new ones
• Identifying buying opportunities and acting on them promptly before they are missed
• To write comprehensive and detailed sales/marketing offers that identify a products USP and present them in an engaging and commercially
minded manner
• Organise/facilitate spirit tastings for the Sales team in the London office
• Proactively search the fine spirits market for opportunities

Skills & Knowledge
• Proven experience in a Spirits Buying role
• Experience in managing supplier relationships
• A comprehensive understanding of the rare spirits market and trends
• Educated to WSET diploma (Level 4) or studying towards
• Advanced Excel skills, demonstrating an ability to create and analyse reports
• Excellent attention to detail
• Commercially astute
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales focused environment
• Pro-active, self-starter who uses their own initiative
• Strong organisation and communication skills
• Knowledge and a love of the spirits market
