Job Description :

A strong business partner to the GM, Innovation LAC and wider Innovation team on strategy/finance & decision support:


- Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels across LAC and globally

- Support and challenge with skill in equal measure, holding the team to account where necessary

- Development of innovation strategy in conjunction with GM Innovation

- Strategic analysis of regional pipeline which ensures optimal pipeline health in terms of: risk profile, complexity, scale, sustainability. Driving to course correction where necessary

- Thought leadership on specific opportunities such as how to improve performance of key measures in scale and sustainability

- Support General Manager Innovation on ongoing Innovation engagement & presentations to Diageo Exec, President of LAC or any Senior leadership meetings including MLT & SILT

Strategy, Finance & Decision Support for Regional Innovation projects:


- Thought leadership & strategic understanding of opportunities for the innovation Scotch team, in particular, on the JW and local priorities

- Being part of the project team for as finance/decision support of any key JW projects which impact LAC (e.g. Enzo)

- Robust and impartial financial assessment of projects through rigorous scenario planning and business case analysis

- Ensuring full understanding of the innovation and market context

- Work closely with cross functional team to optimise P&Ls - in particular Supply to ensure optimal COGS and the in-market teams

Lead finance processes: Budgeting, Planning & Performance Management for LAC Innovation


- Lead BPM process which drives the delivery of Innovation ambition - NSV & also margins

- Project budget allocation and management

- Drive continuous improvement and efficiency gains to existing Finance processes - by leveraging in market and GDBS resources, coaching and educating where necessary.

- AOP Planning process: yearly Innovation P&L planning (new launches & past launches in AOP) in conjunction with market innovation teams and FDs

- Project spend and overheads planning ensuring the team is duly resourced to deliver the F20 ambition while driving savings and efficiencies for Group
