Marketing Manager - Imbibe Live, Sommelier Wine Awards and the Snack Show

The Marketing Manager has the experience and passion to develop, manage and implement successful marketing plans across a portfolio of events. Works collaboratively with a wider marketing community that delivers strategic, creative and operational support. The role plans, oversees delivery, measures and improves content led multi-channel marketing campaigns that acquire, retain and engage our customers and grow our brands. This role works collaboratively in a matrix-marketing organisation. This is a fixed-term role covering maternity leave based in Richmond, Surrey.

Working across a portfolio of leading on-trade events and competitions:

Imbibe Live is the exhibition for anyone who sources, buys or serves drinks (wine, beer & cider, spirits and soft drinks & mixers) in the licensed on-trade, attracting over 10,000 visitors each year to Olympia, London. The Sommelier Wine Awards is a competition focussing entirely on wines aimed at the on-trade and has grown to become the first point of reference for the UKs on-trade wine buyers as well as the key competition for wines trying to increase their presence in hotels, pubs and restaurants.
The Snack Show is co-located with Imbibe Live at Olympia and is the UK’s leading sourcing event for the sweet and savoury snack sector (everything from crisps, insects and popcorn to biscuits and chocolate products).

• Working closely with Event Leadership, and the Senior Marketing Network, providing input into the overall Event and Marketing strategies for an event or portfolio of events
• Collaborating and communicating effectively with Marketing specialist and support teams; briefing, developing, overseeing, project managing and owning the delivery of a multi-channel on and offline marketing plan
• Working with Marketing Customer insight team to evaluate customer research, market conditions, competitor data, customer feedback to develop a deep understanding of customers that will drive engaging marketing strategies, grow the event and improve customer satisfaction
• Acting as brand and industry champion for the wider portfolio, shaping value propositions, creating the on-site experience and feature areas and ensuring that all communications and customer experience complement the brand and enhance the customer journey
• Leading the management of PR for a show or set of shows ensuring it integrates into the wider customer campaign
• Managing the strategic use of partners to drive new and retained customers working with a team of specialist marketing colleagues to deliver the agreed plans and to monitor the effective use of these partners in delivering event objectives
• Developing managing and analysing campaigns that drive net new and retained revenues for stand and non-stand products
• Managing a marketing budget for nominated events, ensuring the marketing plan is delivered within budget and ensuring all costs are tracked

• Strong digital & social marketing experience and understanding
• Previous PR and advertising campaign management
• Interest in the on-trade / drinks industry is essential
