Regional Development Manager- Leeds, Sheffield or York based

Our client is an established Premium Gin company with an enviable portfolio of award-winning gins. This proactive and vibrant business continues to grow apace and as a result, requires a Regional Development Manager to drive On Trade sales and customer relationships in the Yorkshire region, based either from York, Leeds or Sheffield.

Summary

A field-based role for a driven, resourceful and self-motivated salesperson responsible for maintaining and growing on trade and independent retailers within a defined area.  This includes working with wholesalers in the field visiting accounts, suggesting promotions and offers, organising and running tastings and presentations and promoting the brand.

Responsibilities

To act as an ambassador for the brand at all times, strengthening the portfolio by growing market share within a defined region
This role will be responsible for maximizing performance, driving executional excellence and building the capability of wholesalers selling the portfolio
Working with local wholesalers to implement annual marketing plans
Delivering best-in-class execution, distribution, display and menu goals in on-trade outlets
Effective reporting of weekly/monthly results and KPI’s
Collate and report on customer feedback, local competitors and market conditions
Deliver training sessions on the Masons portfolio with wholesalers, on-trade outlets and consumers
Build strong relationships with key customers
Organise distillery tours to educate retail and bar staff
Organise and run tastings and presentations at customer premises on new and existing products, this will include some weekend days and evenings
Where needed assist with onsite distillery events such as World Gin Day and trade events

Technical experience & skills

Previous experience in sales and/or marketing in the drinks or FMCG industry
B2B Experience
Strong analytical skills
Excellent computer skills
Clean driving licence (East Yorkshire Only)

This role will suit either established FMCG sales professionals, On Trade sales professionals or candidates currently working in On Trade retail who have good commercial exposure.
